Beside pavers, a patio or a drive, you want an edge that stays bright and never bleeds rust onto the concrete. 304 stainless does exactly that, and it keeps its clean silver line for years.
Each section is a metre long and locks into the next. Three 100mm spikes per metre hammer through the tabs, so there is no trench to dig. For a short run, cut it with a hand saw.
Choose a 50mm face for a subtle line beside paving, 100mm for a standard bed edge, or 200mm when you are holding back a deeper bed of bark, stone or soil.

Putting a clean silver line around pavers, a patio, a path or a bed, especially next to pale surfaces where rust would show. It keeps gravel, soil and turf on their own side.
Which height should I pick?
50mm for a subtle line beside pavers or lawn. 100mm for a standard bed edge. 200mm when you are holding back a deeper bed of bark, stone or soil.
What do I get per metre?
One 1000mm section that interlocks with the next, plus three 100mm steel spikes.
How do I install it?
Mark your line, set the section on it, and hammer the spikes through the tabs with a mallet. Lock the next section on and carry on. No digging needed in normal soil.
Can it follow a curve?
Gentle curves, yes. The 0.5mm steel flexes enough for a sweeping bend. For tight corners, cut and join.
Can I cut it?
Yes. Measure what you need and cut with a hand saw. Wear gloves and eye protection and file the cut smooth.
What is it made of?
304 stainless steel, 0.5mm thick. It resists rust, corrosion and cracking with ordinary care.
How much does it cost?
50mm: R500; 100mm: R600; 200mm: R700 per metre. Delivery is free once your order is R750 or more. Under that it is a flat R250.
Are there other sizes or options?
Three face heights. Pick the height before you add it to your basket and the price updates.
What do the photos show?
The edging in place around pavers, paths and beds so you can judge the look. Plants, pots and garden props are not included.
Which specs should I check before I buy?
Face height (50mm, 100mm or 200mm), section length (1m), thickness (0.5mm) and the three spikes per metre. If anything is unclear, ask us first.
How do I work out how many metres I need?
Measure the edge and round up to the next metre. Add a little for corners and cuts, then check your basket before paying.
Can I order more than one metre?
Yes. Set the quantity to the number of metres you need, on this page or in your basket.
Will it suit every garden?
It suits most paths, patios and beds in normal soil. Very rocky ground can stop a spike, so shift the section slightly or lift the stone out. If you are unsure, send us a photo and your measurements before you order.
How should I prepare the ground?
Mark your line with string, clear weeds and loose stones, and check for shallow pipes or cables before you drive spikes in.
Any safety tips while fitting it?
Wear gloves, since a cut edge can be sharp, plus sturdy footwear. Use a mallet and keep kids and pets clear while you hammer.
What if the ground is hard or stony?
Water the line the day before so the soil is softer, and move the section a few centimetres if a spike hits a rock. Do not force it, the thin steel will kink.
Can I use it as a retaining wall?
No. The 200mm face holds back a shallow bed, but it is a garden edge, not a retaining wall. It is not load bearing.
How do I look after it?
Hose off soil and grass clippings now and then so nothing sits on the surface. Check the sections are still locked after heavy rain.
Can I check it will suit my garden before I buy?
Yes. Send us the measurements, a photo of the edge and what you have there now, and we will tell you straight which height to go for.
Is the price in rand?
Yes. Product prices and checkout totals are in rand.
What does delivery cost?
Delivery is free when the goods total after any discount is R750 or more. Otherwise the express-delivery charge is R250.
How long does delivery take?
Allow 24-48 hours for handling, then an estimated 5-7 days in transit. These are estimates, not a promised arrival date.
Can I use the valued-customer code?
Yes. It takes 15% off the goods. Delivery is not discounted, and free delivery is worked out on the discounted goods total.
How do I track my order?
Use the Order Tracking page with the details we send after dispatch. If anything looks stuck, email us with your order reference.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
Yes, within 15 days of purchase for an unused stock item in original resaleable condition with proof of purchase. An R300 packing and handling deduction and return postage apply where the law allows it. The 7-day ECTA cooling-off right and your CPA rights are separate and are never reduced by our policy.
What if it arrives damaged or wrong?
Contact us with your order reference and photos where useful. Under the Consumer Protection Act, goods that fail the required quality standards within six months of delivery can be returned at our risk and expense for repair, replacement or refund. No change-of-mind deduction applies.
Can I cancel before it ships?
Contact support as soon as possible. The voluntary cancellation policy accepts requests within 12 hours and before shipment, with a 12.5% processing fee where the law allows it. Your ECTA and CPA rights are not reduced.
I have a big project. Can you help?
Yes. Use the wholesale enquiry page and tell us the products, quantities and your delivery postcode.
Where do I get help?

The complete guide
Stainless edging: the complete guide
3 min readLawn Edge South Africa
Most metal edging is chosen for the look of the metal. Stainless is chosen for what it does not do. It does not rust, it does not stain the pale concrete next to it, and it does not need any coating to stay that way. That makes it the edge for pavers, patios and anywhere a mark would show.
Sizes and specifications
1000mm sections that interlock into a continuous line
Three face heights: 50mm, 100mm or 200mm
304 stainless steel, 0.5mm thick
Three 100mm steel spikes per metre, driven through the tabs
Sold by the metre, no minimum
How the sections connect
Each section locks into the next so the line reads as one piece. The spikes go through tabs on the face.
How to fit it
Mark your line with string and clear weeds and loose stones.
Check for shallow pipes or cables before you drive spikes in.
Set the first section on the line, bright face out.
Hammer the spikes through the tabs with a rubber mallet until the section sits firm.
Lock the next section on and spike it. Carry on along the line.
For a short run, cut with a hand saw. File the cut edge and wear gloves, since it can be sharp.
Where it works
Around a paver patio or path, where it holds the pavers tight and stays bright. Along a drive. Between gravel and lawn. Around a bed, where the 200mm face holds back bark or soil. It flexes enough for a sweeping curve. For tight corners, cut and join.
Is it right for the job?
The 0.5mm steel is lighter than our black or corten sections, which makes it easier to cut and handle, and means you should not force it against buried rock. If you want a heavier gauge in black, see the black steel edging. For the rusted look, see the corten edging. Beside pale paving, this is the one.
